About LVM Lego Club

LVM Lego Club is an informal club for kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade at Elvehjem (pronounced LVM) Elementary School, located in Madison, Wisconsin. It was created in October 2023 when one of our kids, who doesn't enjoy sports but loves socializing and Legos, said he wanted to do Legos with friends more often. So we created a Lego club on Madison's east side, where kids meet almost weekly to challenge themselves, have fun, and be with kids who share their love for building.

LVM Lego Club is run by volunteers (Brenna and Jeremiah Marsicek, parents of Lego-loving kids who attend Elvehjem Elementary School) who enjoy interacting with kids and challenging them to be creative. We have both been approved by the school district to volunteer in schools, which means we have both had a background check completed and cleared.
We value inclusivity, supportive language, creativity, challenge, problem-solving, and socializing.
Who can join?
This club is geared toward kids who are Elvehjem Elementary School kids in grades K-5. However, we are happy to have siblings join in too, with parent participation and supervision! And if your kid loves Legos but doesn't attend Elvehjem, that's fine too!

When and where do you meet?
During the 2024-2025 school year, the club will meet at Elvehjem Elementary School's library between Halloween and Spring Break, on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm. Meet ups don't occur during school breaks. Check the club calendar for scheduled meet ups!

What does it cost to participate?
Nothing! Thanks to generous donations made by family and friends of the LVM community, the Elvehjem Elementary PTO, and Bricks & Minifigs of Madison, we are able to offer this program at no cost to participants. If you'd like to support the club, donations can be made at gofundme.com/f/lvm-lego-club.
